Earlier this month, the Corpus Christi Youth Group bowled their way into 2020!
Rivalries were formed, challenges set, losers commiserated, and the winners immortalised in victory. Sadly no one scored a perfect game although there were some inspiring strikes taken by almost everyone. Some noteworthy moments definitely include some participants bowling gutter balls on their friends/ rivals turns to sabotage their almost certain victory. A particularly driven participant, Emma, decided her goal would be to score 0 points over the entirety of a game. Sadly, this dream was lost when she accidentally scored two points.
Representing the leaders both Chris and Ashy won games, sadly one leader, not naming names, scored 1 point in several frames letting the team down slightly. One highlight of the night in particular was Riley bouncing back from having a sure strike stolen from him in the first game to win his second game by a landslide.
Overall the night was a lot of fun, the competition was strong, and we are all looking forward to the next youth group catch up for our Topic Night – Lent 101.
